Claire B. Bushby

I am a multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Boorloo (Perth), working at the intersection of disability, queerness, and ecology. My practice is rooted in interconnection—exploring the relationships between humans, non-humans, and place through collaborative and participatory approaches. I see creativity as a form of faith and a way to foster collective care, resilience, and deeper engagement with the world around us.

My work spans sound, video, print, and sculpture, often drawing from community dialogue, local ecologies, and lived experience. Projects like Meet Me In The Garden and What The Birds Told Me weave together storytelling, environmental stewardship, and sensory engagement. I am committed to accessibility, not just in how art is experienced but in how it is made—embracing slowness, interdependence, and shared knowledge as integral to the creative process.
