Guided Making: Slow Stitch / Marking Time
Task (15–30 min):
Create a small stitched or drawn piece that records time, not perfection.
Instructions (flexible):
• Use thread + fabric, or pen/pencil if stitching isn’t accessible
• Work in a small area (postcard size or smaller)
• Repeat a simple action:
o stitch
o line
o mark
Important constraints:
• Do not correct “mistakes”
• Let variation happen
• Pause when needed
If your body changes (tension, fatigue, focus), let that show in the work.
