Process

Spinning and weaving are slow, hand-made processes that resist urgency.
Working with fibre requires patience and repetition. Small actions accumulate over time, gradually building form and meaning.

For Catherine, making exists alongside caring responsibilities. Creativity is woven into everyday life, finding space where it can rather than waiting for ideal circumstances.
The materials themselves carry significance. Wool speaks of warmth, comfort, memory, and home. Through repeated gestures, the work becomes a way of paying attention, to place, to relationships, and to the changing rhythms of life.

The process is not separate from self-care. It becomes part of it.

Rather than rushing toward an outcome, the work asks what might emerge when we allow time, observation, and care to guide us.
