Shayne O’Donnell > Adaptation
Shayne O’Donnell’s work emerged through adaptation. When illness and injury altered her mobility and the use of her dominant hand, she began painting with her left hand and returning to works that had been waiting patiently for another time.
Scaling back both size and expectation, she discovered a different way of working; one shaped by acceptance, experimentation, and pleasure rather than outcomes.
Her work sits within Creating Space as an exploration of what becomes possible when we let go of control and work with what remains.
