Process
Amanda’s process begins with walking, observing, and mapping small shifts in her environment and body. These observations are translated into layered forms, marks, and structures that build over time.
Her process is adapted to a highly sensitive nervous system. She works by pacing her exposure, moving between rest and observation, choosing when it is safe to engage. Walking becomes both research and regulation. Mapping replaces overwhelm with structure.
The work may appear complex, but it begins with simple acts: noticing light, tracking movement, repeating marks. Complexity builds through accumulation, not intensity. She works this way because it allows her to navigate uncertainty.
The process becomes a tool for orientation, helping her understand when to move, when to pause, and how to continue.
Experimentation happens through layering, holding multiple systems at once without needing to resolve them.
